Ty-Rods Auto Club is Connecticut's oldest continually active auto club. Their bi-annual Swap Meet is held at Stafford Speedway in April and October. 

Established in 1959 by 5 auto enthusiasts in Rockville, CT, the Ty-Rods hold the distinction of being Connecticut's longest continually active car club. 

Since 1959, the group has grown significantly and each member of the club has at least one street rod, classic car, or muscle car that they have assembled with the help of club members with their many diversified talents. 

The group takes pride in the fact that through their hard work and commitment to their organization, their facility has become the envy of other car clubs and fellow auto enthusiasts. 

The group is best known for the bi-annual swap meets at Stafford Motor Speedway, drawing well over a thousand vendors per event.

On this day Oct. 18th, 2022, all the crew and associates here at Donnie’s Tees are mourning the loss of a longtime friend and business partner Gary Hallwood. Better known as “Skip or Hollywood” Skip will be remembered as a founding member of the Ty-Rods club in Rockville Ct. and a driving force behind the 48 years of the Stafford Springs Swap Meets that began as a small event in 1974 for a dozen vendors and now has grown to include over 1,000 vendors. Since 1959 Skip has been an asset to the Northern Connecticut Specialty automotive community and to swap meet junkies throughout the Northeast.
